Brazilian Butt Lift
On the rise, the Brazilian Butt Lift has become one of the most popular procedures in cosmetic surgery practices over the last several years. While this is often credited to the “Kardashian effect”, the hourglass curve is certainly on its way back in style, and isn’t going anywhere soon. A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a body contouring procedure to give you more beautiful curves by relocating your excess fat to more desirable places; achieving a contoured, firm and natural-looking result. With two procedures in one, you get the benefit of removing and enhancements sometimes referred to as a Brazilian butt lift.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a good candidate for BBL surgery ?
The key to being a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift is to have an adequate amount of fat in other areas of your body, and skin elasticity in your buttock region to accept the transferred fat. Dr. Zadeh will remove excess fat from areas that may include the abdomen, love handles, thighs, hips, back or arms. This is the fat that will be removed via liposuction, purified and injected into the buttocks. Without enough available fat you may not be a candidate for the procedure.
How much does the surgery cost?
Generally the cost of a Brazilian butt lift surgery starts at $12,500. The final cost of your treatment will be calculated on an individual basis in accordance with your needs, the number of areas of liposuction etc.
Brazilian Butt Lift VS Traditional Butt Lift?
In a traditional buttock lift, the doctor removes excess skin or sagging skin due to weight loss, gravity, or the aging process. After making incisions, the skin on the buttocks is lifted and tightened, making the buttocks less saggy, dimpled, or wrinkled.
In the Brazilian butt lift, the patient’s own fat is injected into the buttocks, making them larger, rounder and more shapely. A BBL does not lift the buttocks, it reshapes them, so it is not ideal for patients who need a true buttock lift due to excess skin.
Realistic Expectations About Results
As with any kind of surgery, it’s of the utmost importance that patients have realistic expectations about the Brazilian butt lift and what it entails. Patients should understand that there is the possibility of some fat absorption following the procedure.
Patients should also note that there are temporary side effects after the surgery that can be addressed by following all pre-op and post-op instructions carefully. Patients should also be familiar with the risks and benefits of the surgery.
A more natural appearance?
BBL uses the patient’s own fatty deposits to reshape the buttocks, resulting in a more natural appearance.
Less painful recovery
A BBL is less painful than butt implant surgery and is the smart choice for patients worried about painful and long recoveries.
Minimal scarring
The procedure has minimal scars; women are able to wear a bikini without showing evidence of this cosmetic procedure.
No implant-related complications
Complications from silicone implants include infection, displacement, visibility of the implant, leakage, ruptures and hardening of the implant. These complications are avoided with the Brazilian Butt Lift. Once fully healed, there are no future complications you need to worry about.
Rounder, larger buttocks
The BBL allows Dr Zadeh to create larger, fuller buttocks than with silicone implants, while helping to slim down the areas where there was an excess of fat.
How can I control pain at home?
Dr. Zadeh will be giving you prior to the surgery, a prescription for pain medication to take home with you. That way, the medication will be at your disposal once you arrive home from the surgery.
Note: Make sure Dr. Zadeh knows about pain medications that have caused you problems in the past.
